Through Steven’s innovative leadership and design, SHW has brought a change to food service consultancy, making it more collaborative with clients and peers. A hands-on leader, Steven oversees the day-to-day operations while maintaining an overview of the ongoing projects with the team members.

SHW | Design

We follow the current RIBA Plan of Work 2023 for our scope of works for Back of House Kitchen, Laundry design, and associated waste design.

Preparation and Brief: Develop Project Objectives, including Quality Objectives and Project Outcomes, Sustainability Aspirations, Project Budget, other parameters or constraints, and develop Initial Project Brief. Undertake Feasibility Studies and review of Site Information.

Concept Design: Prepare Concept Design, including outline proposals, building services systems, outline specifications, and preliminary Cost Information along with relevant Project Strategies in accordance with Design Program. Agree alterations to brief and issue Final Project Brief.

Developed Design: Prepare Developed Design, including coordinated and updated proposals for general arrangements, building services systems, outline specifications, Cost Information, and Project Strategies in accordance with Design Program.

Technical Design: Prepare Technical Design in accordance with Design Responsibility Matrix and Project Strategies to include all building services information, specialist subcontractor design, and specifications, in accordance with Design Program.

Construction: Offsite manufacturing and onsite construction in accordance with Construction Program and resolution of Design Queries from site as they arise.

Handover and Close Out: Handover of building and conclusion of Contract.
